Parenting Strategies:  Some tips on Monitoring Social Media By:  Keith Deltano www.DontBullyOnline.com

Have “The Talk”… This one will be about the dangers of social media.  It is important that your children understand they can do serious damage to their lives through the misuse of social media.

Tip #1.  What you send out there is permanent, you cannot get it back, and it will be out there forever.  If you send an inappropriate image of yourself out there on Twitter, you will have to deal with the image’s existence for the rest of your life.  If you make an inappropriate comment and send it out on social media, you will have to deal with the consequences for a long time.

It is located on the California Department of Education (CDE) CAASPP Student Score Report Information Web page.

For the Safety of Our Borchardt Bears

All adults must be prepared to show a photo ID when checking students out of class.  As we become acquainted with parents and begin to know which students belong to which adults, we can relax on this requirement.  But, until we know who is who the photo ID is necessary.

It's the Standard!

Does your Borchardt Bear have their Multiplication Facts memorized?

Here is a great website to practice the facts.  This site allows the students to take a multiplication quiz on the computer.  When they press finished, the computer will correct it for them!  They are also given the choice to print out the test too!
