For the safety of our Borchardt Students, please follow these five safety rules:

  1. Drive slowly through the “Drop-Off Zone” and pull all the way up to the drop off sign.
  2. If you would like a little more time with your child in the morning, please park in the parking lot.  The “Drop-Off Lane” is a quick drop and go lane.
  3. The “outside” lane (lane on the left) is a pull-through lane only, not a drop off lane.
  4. Turn right only when exiting the parking lot, this supports the efficient flow of traffic and helps to keep our students safe when crossing the street with their parents.
  5. Park and then walk to the sidewalk to escort your child safely through the parking lot and across the street.  It is not safe to call your child across traffic in either the parking lot or street.

Have a Great Two Weeks!

It is located on the California Department of Education (CDE) CAASPP Student Score Report Information Web page.

New Parent Communication Resources

Three new resources designed to help schools and districts better communicate with parents about the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments are now available on the CDE CAASPP Communications Toolkit Web page. These resources—a template letter to parents, a parent checklist, and guidance on shifting and refining the assessment-related messages delivered to parents—can be customized to suit the needs of the local educational agency (LEA) or individual school.

For the Safety of Our Borchardt Bears

All adults must be prepared to show a photo ID when checking students out of class.  As we become acquainted with parents and begin to know which students belong to which adults, we can relax on this requirement.  But, until we know who is who the photo ID is necessary.

It's the Standard!

Does your Borchardt Bear have their Multiplication Facts memorized?

Here is a great website to practice the facts.  This site allows the students to take a multiplication quiz on the computer.  When they press finished, the computer will correct it for them!  They are also given the choice to print out the test too!
